The BodyBoss Plan WEEK 3 & 4

Sunday 26th March, 2017

I've completed the first two weeks and now there are two more weeks before I can actually start the PROPER training. So far it feels like the plan is going pretty slow, but I don't find it boring! It's a nice feeling to know that you've worked/are working hard and hopefully starting to get results - regardless, it's healthy.

Original 'before and after'
Again, if you want to skip the breakdown of how the last 2 weeks went, feel free to skip to the end of the blog post where you will see week 3 and 4 results against week 1 and 2.

WEEK 3
Monday
You get the weekends off when doing this plan (which is great) although I still work weekends *SAD FACE*. I've been feeling pretty ill recently but I've still been keeping up with the plan and I've found that it does help a little bit... Until a bit later in the day when I start to feel shit and nauseous again.
"MY FAVE AB BIKES"
Today was a full body HIIT and it had (most) of my favourite things to do, including my fave ab bikes! I'm still breaking a sweat, which hopefully means its working.

Wednesday
After Monday's session, my legs were so tight and achey! Woken up Wednesday and they're still feeling pretty tight. Whilst doing the warm up they were even tighter and I couldn't even reach my leg to stretch *weeps*

The 'half burpees' killed me on this one. My legs were so achey and I got 12 jumps into it and started moaning about how much it hurt (to myself) I tell ya.. If you can get through all of these without stopping for a couple of seconds, I'd be proud.

Thursday
Cardio day! Every Thursday you need to make sure that you take 20 minutes out of your time to do something cardio related. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I bought myself a jump rope for the Thursday cardio days. It reminds me of when I was younger and skipping around the playground for hours... I can hardly do 10 minutes without breaking a sweat now.

Friday
Another round of 4 exercises that repeat over and over for 6 minutes. Still remaining to be my favourite day of the week (mainly because it goes even quicker than the other ones).

Week 4
Monday
After having a weekend off, it was pretty hard to get going again this Monday. I had work from 9-5.30 and it's now 7pm and I can think of nothing worse than working out.

I'm not going to lie. I only done one set of the work outs (when you're actually supposed to do two) but I was very de-motivated today and work just totally drained me. The thought of stuffing my face with food right now is the most tempting thing in the world, too!

Wednesday
I woke up with the worlds largest spike ball down my throat and it was killing. I was also surprisingly busy today, so I'm not going to lie... I really couldn't be bothered to do today. I know it's probably bad for me to skip a day, but I'm going to.

Friday
After skipping Wednesday and doing cardio on Thursday, I thought I should probably definitely do today's work out, after all, Friday's are my favourite work out days. Considering I had missed out the main HIIT session on Wednesday and didn't do any cardio on Thursday, I felt surprisingly fine doing the work outs on the Friday.

2 week review
So these past two weeks felt pretty much the same as the first two. It didn't feel like it was getting any harder. I still can't tell if I'm noticing much of a difference (face to face), but when looking at the photo of day 1, week 2 and week 4, there does appear to be some sort of difference.

I also made a comparison of the original photo and the most up to date photo (removing the one in the middle) so that you can see a closer comparison of what 4 weeks can do.

For some reason I feel like I'm looking more tanned than usual... I dunno? Maybe it's just me. Either way, I think it's safe to say that 4 weeks has made some sort of difference. It may not be big, but I wasn't expecting it to be. I can imagine that it would have a bigger effect on other people.

So the 'pre training' is now over and I'm ready to actually fully start the 12 weeks training course. These 4 weeks felt like they have gone fast, but slow at the same time... If that makes sense? So I have no idea how gruelling the next 12 weeks are going to be.

I will maybe probably give you all an update in a couple of weeks time, just to let you know how I'm getting on... Maybe show a couple of progression pictures. You will definitely be seeing a post at the end of the training, giving an overall review of the whole programme, whether I think it was worth the money or if you're better off looking elsewhere.

So far, I do think it would be pretty worth it for most of you. You do need to make sure that you have a good diet along side it (I am a bit of a fatty at heart and still have had plenty of take outs, though). I wouldn't say to restrict your diet at all! If anything, make sure you eat a bit more than usual because remember, you are burning fat and you want to replace it with muscle! So don't let yourself starve PLEAAAASE.
